What a fabulous event Natural Hair Day at Highgate Primary School in London, UK was.

I was asked to come along and talk about different natural hair techniques and demonstrate what works for black hair and what doesn’t.

The event took place on Saturday, 26 March 2011 and I was very excited to be there.

I came along and my aim was to talk about mainly type 4B hair.

But as I checked out my audience I noticed that I was dealing with 3 major hair types…I had a significant audience of women and children with mixed race hair or type 4A (forms little ringlets when wet) and 3B (corkscrew curls typical of East Africans, Latinos, Mixed race hair, Caucasian hair etc) hair and of course 4B – typical Afro hair.  So I spoke about these 3 hair types and explained how they must be handled differently for best results.

I demonstrated how to wash natural type 4B hair using a mannequin head that I nicknamed ‘Suzy’ who never complained once!

I got various questions.  One of them was how to handle the hair if you’re trying to transition from relaxed to natural hair. Other things came up such as the subject of eczema on the scalp as well as how to handle an itchy scalp.

There wasn’t much time to go into detail so I talked about the many benefits of the 3-month hair growth course (new window) and how it forms a blueprint for life when it comes to your hair care, hair maintenance and growth desires.

I talked about how my 3-month hair growth course can dramatically and positively impact your hair growth success.  I explained that the reason for it’s growing popularity is because the women that take it up have that privileged direct access to me which shows them how to handle internal issues (diet, stress, low-self esteem) and of course the external issues which are just as important.  This access is getting more and more precious as I get busier and busier saving women and children from a lot of hair distress, depression and self-induced baldness.

The course also helps to alleviate confusion if you have hair with different textures growing out of your scalp. This can prove to be a real challenge for women and teenagers trying to follow the trendy slicked-back look but struggle to find the best products to control the various hair textures.

All in all, it was a good day and helped me to shed some light on the best ways to handle type 4B, type 4A and 3B hair types. There were girls braiding the hair of the little ones and other speakers talking about the benefits of what you put into your body.

If you want to book the 3-month hair growth course (new window) there is a special promotion on at the moment that allows you to book the course with a friend for just £300!!! Offer ends 31 March 2011. Call +44 7956 180 783 to book or contact me via the contact page (new window)
