Elisia's Black hair growth success story - 'Before' picture taken in February 2009        Elisia's Black hair growth success story - 'After' picture taken in June 2009

My story started this year.  I have always worn a weave. I liked the way it looked and did not have to look after my own hair. It was great.

Then I said to my friend one day I might go for a short bob as my weave has always been fairly long. And she said why don’t you relax your own hair? The thought had never crossed my mind as I had always had a weave in for the last 6 years. I did not know how to look after my own hair.  I did not know where to start!!! But then I noticed Elizabeth’s book in a magazine and I thought 'Yes! I need that book' - and it saved my hair!

Before After
I like keeping fit and was concerned about my hair being to dry and 'breaky'. But the book explains how to fit it into your daily routine! My hair is growing on average just over an inch a month. You can see it in the pictures.

I want it to be touching my collar bone by September time. I would recommend this book to anybody if they are looking for advice on how to grow and look after their hair!

Black Hair Growth SuccessI’ve always had thick, long hair, but I noticed that my hair began to feel dry and brittle after I relaxed it.  I first relaxed my hair in 1996 and at that time I was very young and didn’t really know how to look after it.  I wasn’t given any proper advice on how to maintain it so my scalp began to dry up and I was getting scabs.

After 3 years of relaxing it, I noticed that my hair was thinning, especially at the front and sides.  In 1997, I decided to grow out my relaxer and wear hair extensions.  The relaxer grew out over a two-year period and my hair was thick and long.  I then joined a gym and started working out four to five days a week.  I did this over a period of 3 years and this again started having a negative effect on my hair as it began to break, dry out and my scalp was sore.

It wasn’t until I met Elizabeth.  She sat down with me for a personal consultation and reviewed all the hair products I was using at the time.  She taught me about Afro hair and what it needed in order for it to grow.

After following her advice and guidance, I noticed that my hair grew about one inch!

I am more than happy with this result.  I believe that if I continue to follow her system, I will eventually reach my aim of having a perfect big AFRO!

Hi Elizabeth,

I would just like to say a big thank you for the advice you have previously provided me with and in general for making the information in your ebook available to women of colour like myself, who have experienced hair problems.  This is my success story:

"In early 2006, the hair at the nape of my neck on the left-hand side of my head broke off really badly. In all the years of relaxing and treating my hair, this was the first time I had seen it in this awful state. I put it down to the stress I was under as I hated my job at the time and was finding it extremely difficult to find work in my chosen field with limited experience.

At first, the hair that broke was just a small section and then it kept breaking until it became a triangle-shaped patch that was about 4 inches high by about 3 inches wide! Luckily, the length of my hair was past my shoulders and so I could hide the patch if I had my hair down.

My hairdresser suggested putting a few tracks of weave there and leaving it alone. I wasn't keen on this at first as I hated the idea of having a weave in my hair but I did it any way and the hair grew a little but it wasn't significant. I ended up taking it out after a week when I washed my hair and the weave got matted. I was getting more and more depressed every time I looked at the patch in the mirror - the length of the hair was shorter than 1/2 an inch and the patch was more or less bald! My hairdresser didn't know what to do either.

Finally, at my wits end and after trying all these different hair products I came across the Black Hair Growth Secrets article in the local paper and decided it was worth a try. I bought the ebook...and adopted a new hair care regime in April...I went on holiday in June and made a decision to get my hair hair done in braids as I knew the weather would be too hot for me to have my hair down...

It wasn't until 2 weeks after I got back from holiday when I took the braids out and got my hair relaxed in mid-July that I realised just how much the hair had grown. It was around 1 1/2 inches long and it was thick! I couldn't believe it. I can't tell you how many times I kept looking in the mirror amazed at this tuft of hair sticking out and I still do.

The patch of hair that was bald for over a year is now about 2 1/2 inches long and still growing.

This program really works!..It makes me wonder why someone didn't give us this information a long time ago?...

Again many thanks and praise to your hard work, research and advice. I will forever be indebted.

Kind Regards,

Meleisha Sealy

Black Hair Growth SuccessI first got into the SweetSableTM System 2 years ago. My hair was in a bad state.  It had been relaxed and over-processed, which made the hair at the back of my head fall out.  I was worried about it and I didn’t know what to do.

Then I attended a SweetSableTM seminar...My back hair started growing back after just 2 weeks and the rest of my hair was adding volume too!

The SweetSableTM System really works.  If you are struggling with hair growth, just give it some time and you’ll see the difference!

 Yours faithfully
